All right. Hello and welcome! Thank you so much for joining us in today’s special session! We’ll discuss search engine optimization and how to rank your auto repair shop on Google for the most critical key terms in the organic and nonpaid listings. I’m going to discuss some of the changes in the search algorithm and some new things you can do from a content strategy perspective to improve your ranking. I’ll also share what’s working best for us and the clients we work with across the country.

So, this session around search engine optimization is part of your overall online marketing strategy. This is called our Digital Dominance method, and it looks at the big picture of all the things you might want to do to maximize your lead flow online in a big way. You need a good website that’s built to convert. You need to make sure that you’re coming up in the organic free listings as strongly as possible.

Then, we want to do pay-per-click and retargeting and make sure we’re tapping into those paid online directories. What we find is that if you implement this entire digital dominance method, you can really be the known repair shop in your market, and you can get a lot of leads and a great ROI or return on investment.

But the fact is, each one requires a thought-out approach. Today, we’ll explore the concept of search engine optimization. How do we ensure that we show up in the non-paid listings when our potential customers are looking? Last month we conducted a workshop on how to make sure your website was built to convert. Because your website has to be set up in a specific way so that when a customer gets there, they FEEL like you’re the right repair shop for them. They pick up the phone, and they call you. If your website has not been set up to convert, then you can have all the traffic in the world and not get the results that you’re after.

So, the plan for today as it relates to SEO is to talk about the latest changes in the Google algorithm. SEO is constantly changing. There were over 500 Google algorithm changes in 2024. Keeping track of all that can be challenging. My staff and I spend several hours a week reading the latest changes and updates from Google, the latest blog posts, as SEO is constantly changing.

And I’m going to unpack what I call the new SEO formula, which is based on the very latest and greatest and what’s going on with the search algorithms, I’m going to unpack that formula. I’m not going to delve into the complexities and technical jargon of SEO – that would require a week-long, intensive workshop. As owners of auto repair and service companies, I want to share the most valuable 20% of information with you. This information will have the greatest impact on your business and results. By focusing on these key areas, you can efficiently achieve 80% of your desired outcomes.
